About Me
Welcome to my corner of the Blogosphere! Perhaps you're wondering who exactly I am?
I'm Seth (most of the time, anyway). I'm a thirty-something living in Oregon with my wife and son. I'm employed as an engineer, but I love to read and write, and that's pretty much where this blog comes from. I may occasionally post something geeky, but my engineer side mostly shows up at work.
A while back, I established my standard list of blog "topics." They are:
Monday Morning Musings (MMM): This is my catch-all post. Here I'll muse about life, tv, movies, books, etc. In short, anything and everything. I model the format after Orson Scott Card's "Uncle Orson Reviews Everything."
Too Funny Tuesdays: I find something funny, I post it here or link to it. Of course, one man's Too Funny is another's "What?", so feel free to disagree about the humor.
Wordful Wednesday: As I read about one book per week, this is where I put my book reviews.
Theology Thursday: Back when I started this blog, it was strictly going to be used for Theology posts, in lieu of keeping a written Bible Journal for my read-through. Now I try to post one per week (better than my old average). Typically it still revolves around my yearly read-through, with occasional interruptions for Book Reviews or suggested topics, or just something I've been thinking on. Many of my views are out of the mainstream, so you could learn something and/or be offended in some way should you choose to read my stuff.
Foney Fridays: My alter-ego (O. Handwasher) stops by weekly to drop in a satire post, in the spirit of The Onion. Yes, I realize it's "Phoney." Don't care. I was actually going for some irony there, and you had to go and miss it. You may encounter some sarcasm here, so be forewarned. Mr. Handwasher has a policy against sparing feelings.
(Occasionally, you’ll see Fiction Friday or Free-for-all Friday because the snark was not with me and something else was.)
